1. Suppose that a production house wants to evaluate the popularity of eight books on a particular subject. The customer service manager of the production house hires seven evaluators with varying experience in that subject to review the books. To reduce the effect of the variability from evaluator to evaluator, she uses a randomised block design, with evaluators serving as the blocks. The eight books are the groups of interest.
